APPLE AND DATE BALLS


Apples and dates cooked together and shaped into balls
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 35 minutes

Method
Halve the unpeeled apples, remove cores and place in a large heavy bottomed pan. Add the dates, apple juice and ground cinnamon. Cook over very low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture forms a dry paste. Remove into a bowl and let cool. Roll the mixture into bite sized balls. Place walnuts under a hot grill. Toast until golden. Coat the balls in the nuts.
